- ➤ Today the Senate passed Senate Bill 1016, which bans trash bags for transporting foster children's personal belongings and requires the use of durable carriers (duffel bags, suitcases, or rigid containers); the bipartisan measure passed 25 to 3 and now moves to the House for further action. - ➤ A group of lawmakers requested a federal fishery resource disaster declaration for the 2024 Oregon Troll Salmon Fishery after climate change, drought and shifting ocean conditions led to lower returns.
