About this event

Vancouver Waterfront Walk

The walk begins around 10:00 AM at the Salmon Run Bell Tower in Esther Short Park.

I will arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early to socialize and help anyone who has questions or concerns. Newcomers are encouraged to arrive early so we can meet before the walk and I can introduce you to some of the people who are already there.

We will usually start walking between 10:02 and 10:05, depending on when the group is ready. When we leave, we will post the exact departure time in the event comments so anyone running behind knows when the group started walking.

From the Salmon Run Bell Tower, we will walk toward Grant Street Pier. We will pause at the pier for about 3 to 5 minutes to give anyone running late another opportunity to catch up with us.

We will then continue along the Vancouver Waterfront Trail to the small roundabout turnaround before heading back.

Distance: about 2.5 to 3 miles round trip Pace: easy and conversational Surface: paved waterfront paths

After the walk, anyone who wants can join us for coffee or a snack at Compass Coffee, just a short walk from the park. Some people also check out the market.

As always, everything is optional. Join when you can, leave when you want, and feel free to meet us anywhere along the route.
