About this event
Using the Pop Chart 100 Essential Novels Scratch-Off poster (available to view online and recently updated), we'll read and chat about books from 1605 to 2024. It's a list of the classics, some international, that’s split well between the genders. The selections skew towards the vibrant and creative, with a very limited number of large or challenging novels (those are for another poster). For November, we'll meet on the 18th and discuss Joan Didion's title "Play It As It Lays." We'll enjoy drinks and light snacks, display the Essential Novels Scratch-Off poster on the big screen and vote on the next book. Large Community Room B for a second month in a row. See you there!
