  • Gov. Tina Kotek signed three consumer protection bills on Monday that require all-in pricing for online sales—eliminating hidden fees—and address medical debt and car financing safeguards; the bills will take effect in 2026. This move is part of a series of measures passed during the legislative session to protect consumers.  KATU
  • Oregon senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley introduced the Tax Cut for Striking Workers Act to stop federal taxes on stipends received during strikes—stipends that come from union strike funds to help cover lost wages. The bill aims to protect workers from unexpected tax bills on the few hundred dollars they earn each week.  KPTV
