  • The People’s Depot, a bottle redemption center run by canners that currently operates under the Morrison Bridge, is planning to open a permanent indoor location near Southeast Powell Boulevard and Milwaukie Avenue before the end of the year. The center collects over 38,000 containers each day but neighbors worry it could draw more homeless people and increase traffic on Powell Street + raise safety concerns near a local school.  KATU
