Authorities announced yesterday that the recreational use advisory for the Willamette River has expanded from the Ross Island Bridge to the Columbia River because of an algae bloom—officials advise avoiding high-speed water activities.
Samples were collected for lab testing, and officials will update the advisory based on the results.
