  • Oregon lawmakers voted on Jun.17 to name the T-bone the state’s official steak and celebrated by grilling T-bones outside the state capital—this decision honors a long history of cattle ranching that brings in over $900 million a year.  KPTV
  • Oregon lawmakers passed a bill to hide home addresses of elected officials and candidates. If the governor signs it, the Secretary of State will remove the addresses from state websites — they will still be available through public records requests.  KATU
  • Oregon lawmakers passed a committee vote on a bill that limits federal use of the National Guard + to keep the force ready for local disasters. The bill now heads to the House floor + lawmakers say it will help the Guard respond quickly to wildfires and earthquakes.  KPTV
