- ➤ Governor Tina Kotek signed a law that bans all plastic bags at checkouts in restaurants, grocery stores, and retail shops with the ban set to begin January 7+ the law goes further than the 2020 ban on thinner bags by also banning thicker bags to help reduce ocean pollution. KPTV

- ➤ Officials urged visitors at Glenn Otto Park to wear life vests as rising temperatures this weekend will draw more people to the river and dangerous currents remain a risk.
