Rep. Andrea Salinas met with small business owners to discuss rising tariffs that have made planning difficult for companies.

Local firm Theia Technology had to cancel a new product launch since the tariffs took effect on April 2—business owners fear higher prices may drive customers to cheaper alternatives.

A federal trial began Monday, April 21, to decide who will control Willamette Falls after PGE issued a condemnation notice for safety reasons, with tribal leaders and four other tribes voicing concerns over private control of traditional fishing rights (the trial is expected to last four days and featured opening statements and witness testimony on its first day).
