About this event

We will be collecting these non-curbside, hard-to-recycle plastics. Only CLEAN & DRY items, please! We can't accept dirty items as we are charged extra for them. We also appreciate plastics being pre-sorted.

CLEAR #1 plastics (clamshells, salad boxes, some cold drink cups)

Plastics with the #2, #4, #5, or #6 (including tub lids, hot drink lids, tupperware, pill bottles less than 3" tall, takeout containers, plant pots & more.)

Also accepted: Plastic straws, utensils, plastic screw-on caps & carton spouts, bread clips, tape containers, hard cd & cassette cases

The cost is $4 per full paper grocery bag. For less than a full bag, donations are appreciated.

Also, we can collect all forms of Styrofoam for a charge of $10 per 45 gal. bag, with packing peanuts bagged separately.

Plastics collected will be delivered by our group to *Zero Waste McMinnville/James Recycling Project for their event on November 7th, and to other recycling services, like Recology, P3, Green Century, and RecycleOn.

*Please visit https://www.zerowastemcminnville.com/about-3 for a great video to help you identify and sort your plastics, and for more information about Zero Waste McMinnville's partnership with The Plastics Project.
