Unexpected Joy Art Show Reception

About this event

“Unexpected Joy” featuring bronze work by Steve Tyree, oil paintings by Christine Swanson, watercolors by Sarah Silva

On display October 20th – December 31st, 2026

Reception Date: Saturday, November 14th 2-4pm

Please join us for a joyful afternoon at Art elements gallery to celebrate these three artists and this delightful collection they have brought to us. Light refreshments will be served all afternoon, starting at 2pm. At 3:00pm we will have the artists talk which wil be followed by a Q&A with the audience.

For this collection, each artist has explored the concept of “joy” and has cohesively created a narrative around the suddenness that “joy” has to offer. Considering what can be perceived as mundane, they find the excitement in these fleeting moments; perfect harmony in the colors of a landscape, or a mother and baby bird nestling together. This trio has come together seamlessly to create a delightful exhibition in which these moments of unexpected joy are all in one place!
