About this event
Slow down, soften, and let your body unwind from the inside out. This class pairs long-held yin postures with self-myofascial release, using therapy balls and props to gently ease tension in the connective tissue that wraps and supports your muscles, joints, and organs. Yin invites you to rest into each shape for several minutes, giving the body time to release rather than forcing a stretch. Myofascial release adds targeted, sustained pressure to areas where we tend to hold stress, like the hips, shoulders, neck, and feet. Together, they help shift the nervous system out of "go mode" and into a calmer, more restorative state. Expect a quiet, unhurried pace with plenty of support and choice. Every pose is offered with options, and you're always welcome to adjust, rest, or skip anything that doesn't feel right in your body. No yoga experience or flexibility is needed. This class may be especially supportive if you're navigating stress, poor sleep, stiffness from sitting, or simply need time to slow down and reconnect with your body. Good to know : Wear comfortable, layered clothing, since the body can cool during long holds. Mats, bolsters, blankets, and release balls are provided. Please let the instructor know about any injuries or areas of sensitivity before class.
