About this event

Welcome to those who have lost a parent to death, whether the loss is recent or many years into their loss. Together we will offer and receive support with others who are grieving the death of a parent. All expressions of grief are welcome here.

Please note that this event may be attended by those experiencing various forms of parental loss. This may include the loss of a step-parent or parental figure, and those whose parents are actively dying, living with a degenerative disease, or estranged. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact The Grief House.

Led by Emily

Emily Inahara (she/her), a long time grief friend, began searching for grieving community after the loss of her father in 2013. In the last decade, Emily has welcomed the many emotions and experiences of her grief, and deepened community when she began interning as an MSW student at The Grief House in the fall of 2025. Over the last several months, she has witnessed the impacts of grieving in community, holding rituals for grief, and the magic of The Grief House. Emily feels deeply honored to hold space for others to explore their grief in community.
