A Family-Style Winemaker Dinner at TASTE

There are some wine dinners that begin with the wine.

This one begins with a story.

On Monday, November 23 , we are welcoming winemaker Tyson Smith of Copious Cellars to TASTE for a special family-style wine pairing dinner built around something that feels especially meaningful during Thanksgiving week:

Gathering. Sharing. Curiosity.

Tyson’s journey into winemaking began alongside his father in 2013, when the two started making wine together in a converted workshop. There was experimentation, trial and error, laughter, and a shared curiosity about what could happen when they simply asked, “What if?”

When Tyson’s father passed away unexpectedly in 2018, he left behind detailed winemaking notes from the years they had spent together. Those notes became a way for Tyson to continue the story they had started.

That story became Copious.

Today, Copious is built around passion over production , curiosity over convention, and the belief that wine is ultimately about the people with whom we share it.

That philosophy feels incredibly at home at TASTE.

So, just a few days before Thanksgiving, we are setting one very Copious table .

Rather than a traditional plated wine dinner, this evening will be served family style , with guests gathered around communal tables of eight. Courses will arrive at the table to be passed, shared, talked about, and paired with Tyson’s wines.

Expect beautiful fall flavors, generous pours, stories from the cellar, a little education, a few surprises, and plenty of conversation.

Because good wine was never really meant to be experienced alone.

THE EVENING

Monday, November 23 TASTE Wine Cafe West Linn, Oregon

Guests will gather at family-style tables of eight for a multi-course dinner paired with wines from Copious Cellars.

Tyson will join us throughout the evening to share the stories behind the wines, the vineyards, and the wonderfully curious approach that drives Copious.

Seats may be purchased individually, or gather your people and reserve an entire table of eight .
