About this event
Portland Opera To Go (POGO) proudly presents the latest installment of the Our Oregon series--a collection of original youth operas that examines Oregon history by highlighting the lives of extraordinary Oregonian women through a variety of lenses. In The Crown Maker, Eva Castellanoz worked the fields alongside her parents after immigrating from Mexico--but that was before she discovered her true calling--she was a crown maker. Through her heritage and artistry she became a healer, binding the hearts of her community while surviving heartbreak of her own. The Crown Maker is best for students grade 4 and up.
