About this event

When does an acquaintance become a friend—and what makes that friendship worth having? Join Portland Philosophy Table for 90 minutes of thoughtful conversation about friendship: what makes it valuable, and whether we can deliberately cultivate it without forcing it. Expect concrete examples, friendly disagreement, and room for everyone to contribute. Newcomers are welcome; no philosophy background or reading is needed. Tuesday, November 3, 6–7:30 p.m. Northwest Library, Community Room 1H 2030 NW Pettygrove Street, Portland Free. Ten places including the host. Please RSVP individually, with no extra guests, and update your RSVP if your plans change.
